- Plans, leads, organizes, staffs & controls department's overall activities,
- Designs and implements procedures, systems, and tools to maximize departmental operating efficiency,
- Assesses risks by following industry trends to ensure profitability, company survival and provide solutions,
- Coaches, mentors, and develops employees through periodic performance evaluations and ongoing performance dialogue and feedback,
- Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises.
- Advise executive management on the impact, activities, and proposed activities of the Company with regard to local, state, and federal laws and regulations and judicial and administrative decisions.
- Assess the merits of major court cases filed against the Company and approve, with the advice of the appropriate function head, settlement of such court cases where warranted.
- Provides accurate and timely counsel to the Company on a variety of legal topics.
- Provides legal consulting in policy development and training about prevention.
- Develops and leads corporate legal strategy to promote and protect the company’s interests
- Oversees the delivery of legal services and resources to accomplish corporate goals, strategies and priorities,
- Participates in the formulation of general management policy as a member of the executive management team,
- Oversees the development and review of contracts, leases and various agreements involving the Company.
- Oversees the performance of the retention lawyers and related legal proceedings.
- Represents the company in pursuing any legal proceedings.
- Build long-term relationships with all relevant stakeholders, such as local government, media people, politicians, etc.
- Solves conflicts and addresses issues that could occur between the business and the other entity and promptly responds to incidents and other events as necessary,
- Facilitates land leasing and related activities in Governmental Organizations
- Works with Municipality and Sub- city to handle land holding, use, and transfer of ownership,
- Work with the leasing office to secure land by lease for any projects that the company might be engaged,
- Assist other functional managers with any government affairs and related issues they require for the business,
- Develops and supervises control systems with the view to prevent or address violations of laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Oversees the Periodic review of contracts, policies, and other legal documents of the Company to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Directs the communication of compliance-related issues with employees across all divisions of the organizations and address any and all concerns they may have about legal, ethical or compliance matters;
- Defines and develops the approach for the mandatory compliance training in collaboration with the Training Team;
- Oversees the Preparation, publication and distribution of authorized commercial compliance guides and other instructional materials to help internal staff and external commercial partners achieve clarity on commercial compliance requirements.

- LLB or LLM in Law
- Above 10 years of experience
